Mount Saleve

Mount Saleve. A viewing mountain located in very close to the Swiss France border. About 1000m looming above Geneva. And I'm going UP!
Picture photo anyone? You can see Geneva and it's massive lake. And also, the fountain!
Moi taking a photo of himself and using the glass window as a reflection. This is actually the restaurant. You can actually wine & dine inside. And there is another restaurant on the other side of the mountain which faces the alps. Unfortunately, clouds started rolling in, and it got hazier as the minutes tick by... So, sorry. No alps vewing...
Back home in Malaysia, Genting is a popular place for folks to have nice grand viewing houses. Nothing, i think tops this one. Build right on the end. You'll get one heck of a view alright!
The left hand side if you're staring up. Part of the town is in Swiss, Another France...
Mountain climbing anyone?
So where do ya think is the station? It took me by surprise as I was hunting for this one... When you've given up, look below.
Imagine saying this: Hey, that's right in my neighbourhood! And I leave right next to it!!!
The entrance... Not something grand like back home...
Looking back up, from the ground up...
I was still in France when I shot this. Obviously... So one just walks across. Saunter if you will...
To get to Mt Saleve, you would have to take Bus 8 and make sure the board says Veyrier Douane. Else, you could end up with a longer walk like Moi; who ended up in Veyrier Tournettes and had to walk an additional 10mins. If you do end up like me, just either as a local for help, OR, look up, and start walking towards the cable car! You can't miss it anyway.

If you DID managed to get the Veyrier Douane bus, then alight at the final stop. Get down, and start walking towards the cable car, cross the border, cross the road and by the, signboards will show you the way...
One final look. Like I said, you can't miss it! Heck, even from Geneva, that tower is pretty visible...
You must be going... "That's IT". Wait... There's more and it'll come in another post! :)

As stated, the Minister was attending the WHA in Geneva. So, yours truly was invited along with all other Malaysians who are in Geneva to have a makan with him...

So who wouldn't go for free food right? And eat in a lavish setting? he he...

But also have a nice talk about your own homeland! :)
