Of ships...

I don't know what it is with the ships having their bows portruding from the sea... Well at least this one did!

I am lighter than you?
Believe it or not, but this is the 1st time I'm seeing a cruise ship!
The End.

Stained Glasses in Penang

Continuing my Stained Glass shooting spree... all taken also within the Church of Immaculate Conception.

Saint Chastan

I really had no clue that Malaysia had a relic of a Saint here. This was taken from the Church of Immaculate Conception, Penang.

Interesting!

Chinese New Year Gathering #1

It's that time of the year, when Chinese all around the world celebrate The Lunar New Year.
Yours truly attended his annual one in the state of Penang at my Uncle's house...

And with ANY chinese celebration, FOOD and LOTS of food is always available.

The standard joke with food and chinese has always been: We live to EAT!!! :)

This was taken with the pop up flash and a Lumiquest Pop up Diffuser...

ID 10 T

I usually post thingy related to photography but as I work in
the IT industry, some times, you get an email over a joke
that is just classic. While most common sense people will say
that these jokes are not true, I don't think so...

I have been called into situations where the user would be
really frustrated and all I do was press a key; and voila(!)
problem solved. When pressed how I solved the problem, my usual
and favourite reply is "Magic Fingers". :)

************************************************************

I was having trouble with my computer, so I called Richard,
the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission
Control, and asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was
wrong?

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,
'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it
again.'

Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T
error before?''

No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote it down: I D 1 0 T

Stained Glasses @ SFX, Malaysia

Yours truly has been wanting to capture SFX's Stained Glass since last year, when it was installed, but never got around to doing it; mainly due to laziness actually!

However, with the FA 50mm, there was now a new reason to do so! :)

All images were shot in RAW and later, enhanced. Yes well, the church interior is dark, more so when the lights are off so this poses a problem.

For the 1st time, I actually enjoyed tweaking the raw files. I know. I know. Owners of dslr camera's SHOULD be shooting in raw, but I hate to admit that I suck big time and I really don't like to present something that isn't how it is! But with stained glasses... he he...
