As seen through my eyes (from my trusty Pentax K100D, K7, Sony's NEX-F3, Xperia M5 and NOW Huawei Honor 7).
What captures my fancy, it's posted here. From visiting's to well, just about anything and everything I've been asked to photograph.
On the turn off to Giant, Tawau (if you're coming from the 'new' highway), there is this eatery; a Bar and Restaurant (depending on time that you visit).
As we were going to Giant, we decided to have our lunch there.
Missus missed the Ice Kacang or rather haven't eaten it in a very long time that she ordered one. And found it pleasant enough... Not too sweet too, which is rather good.
Unfortunately, we can't really remember my dish, but it was something called 'Sirloin Fried' ... It's actually deep fried beef. Sadly, there were 2 pieces that I couldn't eat as they were ... too tough.
Ginger Fish. Missus found it acceptable.
Chicken Rice set. This took forever to arrive. Luckily, our serving waitress was attentive and checked up on us when she realised that all else had arrived sans this.
So was it good? Seems worth it for the price of the chicken.
All of the above rice sets came with Long Beans veggie, Acar and a small bowl of soup.
We had came here before, but this time, the soup didn't contain any condiments. Pity, as our last visit, we were mighty impressed. They must have run out!
You didn't think this was just all food, riiiiight??? :p
This is certainly a great start to Week 6 for our dear Baby.
After the morning customary church service, we stop by at Baby & Me (a newly opened baby accessory shop in Tawau) to purchase a Medela feeding bottle as the only bottle we have is used to pump her milk...
But 1st, just some customary photos of dear Baby making his 2nd week visit to Holy Trinity Church.
And so begins our 1st attempt to bottle feed... after 6 weeks of exclusive breast feeding. We were really worried over Andrew's reaction...
That looks like half done!
Wheeeeeeee...! Completely emptied!
So how different is the teat compared to others? Very different... You have to see it to believe it and actually, you also have to suspend your disbelief when you compare it to the rest.
Today, being the 2nd attempt to bottle feed missus's EBM, didn't have Andrew any bit confused or latching back on onto dear Mummy...
The other reason for this Grand Week! He's smilling!!! And cooing a lot too...
Needless to say, he's also interacting with us... Yay!
This is just a little something that we have noticed over the past 80 days.
Its the best form of milk and bonding for both Mother and Baby. However, one needs to be extremely careful with what one consumes as it most probably will pass through and end up in the baby's digestive system...
And so, Chocolates were subsequently banned.
And along with it, Cauliflower, Broccoli and Cabbage and any other cruciferous veggies... as they cause a considerable amount of gas for the poor little one!
And newest to our list? Watercress veggie. Why? He eventually went through 6 nappies in 90mins! Upon checking Wiki, it's diuretic and that left us with a very Cranky baby!!!
So another veggie unable to be consumed.
Of Manual Pumps:
We had initially bought Avent, but missus found out over time, that it caused her too much grief and it just wasn't working out. Heck, it was spilling and getting caught behind the petals for some unknown reason which was supposed to help as a gentle massager to pump out the milk. She ended up pinching out milk instead.
So, after some research, we decided to try Medela's Harmony manual pump...
And whaddayaknow... She was easily hitting past 30mls in record time when previously it would take her hours on end to reach that level on Avent as we found the suction to be much stronger and as such, drew out the milk better.
Now, am not saying that the Avent pump isn't good. It is. We love its support system, especially its 10 cups/lids system. Pity that isn't available for Medela.
However, different people will find it differently and thus, it would work for them better than for her...
Hope this helps for other Mothers and Fathers who are researching...
