Destination Star Trek : Birmingham, UK 2018

There is an actual reason why we are here in the UK - for this event: Destination Star Trek (DST); Europe's largest Star Trek convention or for that matter, outside of the US of A.
It's also something we can tick off from our bucket list ...

 Moi getting Borgified... :P
Missus excited to get this Ferengi couple to pose...
Posing in front of a mural
The closest we'll get to 'seeing' William Shatner (sans paying a fee!)
One of the many discussions that was opened to the public; which we didn't join as we were sure Little One would be bored... but we just dropped by...
The main hall in which all this is housed...
If you follow Discovery, she did a fine job...
 As did these other two...
What do these three have in common? Nothing but just posing for me and other fans! :)
Greetings!
And we were very fortunate that these two gentlemen decided to have a little fun...
So here's something we attended ... Cosplay judging contest for Day 2.
It's never too young to start cosplaying... :)
And here's the rest: care to figure out from which series and character they are portraying? List them down in the comments!

All the contestants up on the stage
 And here's the winner:
Along with the other winners ...
Care to guess who was the guest judges???
One last cosplay photo catch before we ended our day and headed to the airport.
 One last look...
Pity that the hand stamp was slowly coming off...
So long DST. Thanks for the pleasant memories...

Sealife Birmingham, UK

Naturally, any city with an Aquarium HAD to be visited by yours truly with Little One.
You might thereafter ask, if you've already visited, why then the need to visit Birmingham's version? Well, as it turns out, we found it to be much more immersive than London's version!

One that he thoroughly enjoyed immensely.
First up, penguins.

Big smiles because...
Greeting Little One early on is one of his favourites - Moray Eel.
Hiding somewhere in this giant tube!

For some one his size, the tanks are of his height and this is why I stated that he enjoyed himself immensely. It's all eye level for him... plus many exhibits had child entrances (holes or small tunnels) for them to hide / crawl through.
Like so...

"Hello There Traveller!!!"

Next up: Puffer Fish

Lion Fish
Cow Fish
This small little tunnel had Little One crawling through and pretending that he was one of the clownfish as you could see them from 'inside and outside'.

Think you can spot what's hiding...?

Harlequin
Some more rays

Is that an octopus?

An overview of some of the exhibits as you snake your way down.
Sea Snakes!
Horseshoe crab
Can you spot something...???

No aquarium is complete without Jellyfish

Turtle lazily swimming by...

Leopard Shark

Posing with his favourite sharks...

A view of the walking tunnel from a different angle

What are you telling me Little One?
Or is that his peace sign?

The End.

Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Palace Museum of Korea & Going Home

Just before heading home, we visited this site: Gyeongbokgung Palace. Unfortunately, while it looks nice and sunny, it isn't! It...
