International Departures? Are we going somewhere???
Yes, we are. We are finally going for our loooooong awaited and delayed holiday!
But before that, somewhere along the loooooong walk to the Gate, needless to say, where there's fish, Little One will not move from there...

How did he take it? Not too bad actually. As it was a night flight, almost 2300H KUL, he fell asleep as the Airbus took off. But then again, he didn't have his afternoon nap at all! One could safely say that he was the only member of the family that slept throughout the whole flight! :P
Missus and me... no such of that luck... :(
And so here we are, at Perth International T1. It's early. Freaking early as the pilot must have been in a hurry. Reason? We arrived 30mins ahead of schedule! So, that means, the unGodly hour of 5am!
You maybe groggy. Until you walk outside and get hit with the Cold Wet Weather... of around 5 Degree's C.
It's like a slap in your face...
After making our way from the Airport to our Hotel and lepaking there until some eateries were open, we then made our way to Murray Street Mall. And the only cafe/eatery we could find was called Bocelli's Espresso.
Was it good? Can't comment on the coffee's, but the food... oh my. Either we were sleepy/hungry/tired/hungover/jetlag, the food never tasted better! :P
And yes, even Little One finished his Banana Cake Bread and Croissant which was really fluffy, crunchy and just plain flackey enough to trill you to bits...
Really, we had no idea that this location had garnered such an award until we sat down...
Later on, we visited the Supermarkets as we needed to stock on some items.
Obviously missus was itching for her Lemon Bitters, but as there wasn't any single bottle available... we had to give it a pass.
But she certainly went bonkers with the Cosmetics section in Priceline Pharmacy and Woolworths section.
Look ... at .. all ... those...!!!
Having experienced this in Geneva back in 2014, this wasn't much of a surprise to do self check-out. The only better thing? You can make payment with cash. So, one just need to look for the appropriate cash register.
If however, you still want interaction, then usually, around 2 counters are available... but be prepared to wait.
Coles had this 2 for $5 promo on Strawberries. Ever seen them this big? Really huge, juicy and sweet.
Oh wow... just wow.
Just further up from where we stayed was the Fire Station keeping to it's old world charm...

Unfortunately for us, Monday was kinda crappy. It showered on/off. Wet, cold and windy at times. As such, it was a real pain to adjust coming from Malaysia's hot and humid!

If you wanted a chain of pleasant pastries, etc, Miss Maud is one of them. Love their Pies too...
Moving around, we came across this - it's called the Greenhouse and one can see why...
It's actually an eatery. However, as we were on a pack schedule, we just moved on.
And arrived at London Court...
Why is it called London Court, just look at the next few photos. You'll understand why.
Did I mention rains/showers? :P
It certainly caught a number of people by surprise, the sudden downpour as there were a bunch of office workers passing through and seek shelter to wait it out.
This old barber shop really epitome's the look and feel of London Court. From it's interior to the shelving, seats, benches... really ancient!
London Court is easily accessible from Hay Street Mall. You just need to look for an opening and it come out at St Georges Terrace. And both Murray Street Mall and Hay Street Mall run parallel to each other. So basically, it's not a mall per-se but just 2 streets blocked off to traffic and pedestrians just walk on.
And just up Murray Street is where we stayed. Seasons of Perth.
Next to it, is Miss Maud's Hotel at the corner of Pier and Murray Street.
All decked out in Swedish goodness! Yes, you can also get your pastries, etc here.
We took our lunches here a few times, and the place is always busy.

And just up the road a little bit more is the Perth General Hospital.
Yes, for fun, we decided to just walk in... :P
It's been written and blogged by many over the long walk after the Immigration Clearance @ KLIA2. And yes, it's definitely a long walk. Even with the travellators. And made worse if your aircraft is parked at the end...!
Which makes it really contrasting when compared to Perth's compact design. From the road to the check in, just mere steps. From the check in to Immigration, not more than 30m. And thereafter, after Customs, the gates.
Are we that insane over Shopping that we have tons of outlets before the departure hall, after the Customs, and there on?
Must we have that much???
