Ttukseom Hangul Park

It's the weekend and we decided to visit a park cum playground.

Situated beside the Han River, it's a nice entertainment spot for kiddos; one that is filled with quite a lot of variety of activities.

Learning to drum away...

I guess in the summer when there is water in this pond, it'll be kinda cool. But now, in the dead of winter, nada but rocks and stones.

A giant xylophone for Little One to test out and make music.

Enough of space to run around...

And yes, Little One actually tried his hands on this exercise machine.

Choo-choo aka subway running in the background on one of the many bridges that spans the Han River.

I guess in the summer too you are allowed to have fun on these swan boats.

A floating ship restaurant.

Special Bicycle lanes... Would be fun to cycle there...

Hiding and taking a break from the blinding sun before making our way back.

Apparently, you could eat this... if you're hungry enough..., but I'll pass.

Now, next to the park is actually a 'mini' resort park if you will. In summer, its all done up with water slides and lots of water. Naturally. 

In winter, either you get real... or most probably artificial snow like now.

We didn't go in due to the masses of people plus the temperature at that time was around -13C; something that we definitely weren't prepared for in the coming week... as it got even colder!

Can you spot the Olympic Stadium? Seoul hosted the Olympic games back in 1988...

Of Playground and some Food Items

Playgrounds. What can I say ... we found one as we were wandering around, near the neighbourhood where our accommodation was located.

Very well cleaned. Almost squeaky clean... and makes you wonder whether someone actually goes around to clean them? :)

And not far off from the above playground, was also a neighbourhood park...

Ooooooh... weight lifting! And yes, there were residents who could weight lift these!

And wide expanse enough for Little One to run around a few rounds and lose that hyper energy of his.

And there's a shrine as well.

Little One was begging for eggs. And then, we came across this: Already cooked, almost hard boiled eggs. Whatdya know... saves the trouble too! And yes, it's really been cooked when we gave it to him.

 I decided to try their instant noodles... Needless to say, I'll stick to their sandwiches and buns!

Spending a day out at Coex Aquarium & Starfield Library

Little One's all decked up and ready to head out! But... where to?

A long travellator...

A massive underground interchange station...

Ta-dah! Any surprised?

And what's more exciting? It's also having a 'tie-in' with one of his favourite cartoons: Octonauts!

Fantastic huh? Toys amongst fishes...

And not to mentioned living in your refrigerator as well! If you dare...

This would have been every Octonauts and Aquarium fan... The two favourite things!

Oh... but there's so much moreeeeeee...

Finally, we came to do more interesting stuff. Little One, for some unknown reason, has been smitten with Koi \ Carp fishes!

Guess, so are they as well!

Yup, you guessed it. More Octonauts!

It's a little story, inter spaced with water magic (air bubbles, loads of them) and lights that should get the little ones excited. For my Little One, as the story was in Korean, there wasn't much he could participate in.

But he was, in any case, still enthralled by the performance.

And this is the last exhibit for us... Fish, whose gills are outside, instead of inside. Interesting!

Wow... what can this be? It's called the Starfield Library; a public library in the mall.

Look at all those books!!!

I wonder how does one get a book from or put it up there??? :P

So we came by way of Boguensa station, and left via the Samsung Station. If you are taking the MRT, the CoEx Aquarium is closer to the Boguensa station than Samsung Station. It's a very long walk from \ to the Samsung Station... unless you want to walk through the Coex\Starfield Mall.
