World Health Day @ Klinik Kesihatan Rawang

Now what can this be? Well, the local district of Rawang decided to hold it's local version of the World Health Day 2012 and it was celebrated where my missus worked...

And in conjunction with the Health Day, free screening.

And obviously it comes with consultation.

Walkway from KLCC to Pavilion; vice versa.

Previously, if one wanted to walk from KLCC to Pavilion (Bukit Bintang), one would have to run across a few roads and walk on road shoulders; not to mention weather it out with whatever the sun or rain will shine or rain at you.

Thankfully, the above is now a thing of the past with this 95% air conditioned covered walkway. 5% being open air near the Pavilion side. But it's just a short walk in this open air but still covered walkway.

Yours truly was walking from KLCC to Pavilion to meet his missus, so below are my experiences as I made my way there.

From KLCC, one would walk towards the Convention Center. And there's a signboard to point you in the right direction.

 This used to be a parking lot, but as you can see, is now a "proper" walkway as compared to walking amongst the cars many years ago. I always thought it funny why this would be the case... Thank God, that's now but a distant memory!

 Once you reach Aquaria, turn right and heads towards Jln Pinang exit. Or rather the Convention's main exit.

 And once you pop out, look towards your right. This is where the walkway starts. Officially.

 It's elevated, the whole way through with plenty of entry/exit points at various strategic parts for people to get in/out.

 See... air conditioned.

 Elevated all the way. Yeah! No more jostling or getting scared to death with crazy motorists! :)

 This is where the famous Japanese buffet started at Wisma UOA. I remember coming here long long LONG time ago. Now, you can go to 1U, Mont Kiara and even Sunway Piramid for that famous buffet.

 And after about 10mins, you are there!

 A look back from where I started...

It's open from 0600 to 2300H daily and it's covered with CCTV's and Security Guards. So that's good.

I don't know whether it's good to have the aircons running all that while... I mean, before or after certain hours, might one consider switching some of them off as there wouldn't be that much of human traffic...?

Oh... and the best part? It's FREE! Yup. FREE. You read those 4 letters right.

4th International Putrajaya Balloon Festival

Now, yours truly wasn't suppose to be doing this, but it so happens that my trusty ol' SLR was with me and as I drove, this little (?, yeah, right!) Kiwi bird decided to float its way across the road that I usually drive on to work.

Ah well, since it came my way... I shall do some balloon homage!

Guess Kiwi bird wasn't the only one to come this way...

So were 2 more.

And one of them decided to crash land at Dell's office. Wonder what the folks at that building must have thought? But then again, with the Fire Brigade just opposite them, what's there to worry?

Is this one going to suffer the same fate too?

Or trying to help ALL Malaysians by doing something to help every sane tax paying Malaysian? :p

Unfortunately, no. It never made it there.
