Cambodia # 1

After a 2 months hiatus, here I am back posting... I was recently in Cambodia, Siem Reap to be more exact, visiting the town as well the renowned Angkor Wat. But more on that later...

Here is something to kick start it all... paintings of how the temples came about.

Red Sparklers anyone? *sigh* I miss my childhood! :)

My wish got granted. They decided to send more sparklers for me to enjoy! :D

Madness! Just look at the amount of fireworks and how bright it is! Look at the right and left of the bridge and the surroundings...

And finally, ending with loads of fireworks and colours. Fantastic!

In case you're wondering, I basically used:
a) Remote Control
b) Velbon Tripod
c) Initially started with 3 then 2 then 1 second shutter open
d) ISO 200 (lowest my K100D can go)

There ya go!

MIFC 2008 - Australia

This was the last day for the fireworks competition. Again, I decided to choose the same spot that I took when I was watching Canada's presentation. Just too lazy to fight traffic, and man, was it choked on the way out!

If you've been following my blog, you would have noticed that Putrajaya is littered with very interesting bridges. So this one, is lighted up nicely on the night. And the reflection is just right!

This is the PICC. Changed the settings compared to the last time I was here. Came out so much better too!
And off we go. It's a bit one sided, but that's the price one pays. But still, you can see the the slight symmetrical of it!

What captured me was the colours reflecting on the lake. And how this shot separated them out. Lovely.

Interesting design in fireworks I must say...

Malaysian International Fireworks Competition - 200808

After spending over 90mins stuck in a horrendous jam last year, I decided to scout out another location... Not too bad, except that well... wind was still and smoke got in the way!
