Of Kuantan and ... Military Vehicles

So where are we here then? A city on the eastern coast of Malaysia, about 250km away from KL.
It's simple. You see, we were there because...
Left to right: Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Not a Pharmacist...
Oh gawd, a gathering of ... *gasp* Pharmacist???
Not really. Okay, sort off. The bride was my missus roomie back in her Uni days. So THAT's the reason why we made this trip. Congrats Jia Yi.
After the luncheon, we proceeded to Cherating, a nice sandy beachy area. Except that God decided to wreck our plans and keep us indoors... Rain. Lots of it, heralded down from the Heavens... and with it, our dreams for a sunrise viewing... as well for the next day.

Hmmmm... What's with my missus being framed in a goal post? :) Did I score a goal? :P
They say a picture says a thousand words, but nothing beats these few... Watch her...

He he... Thanks luv for my comedic moment!
We stayed @ Holiday Villa Cherating. There are a few blocks and almost every block has it's own pool.
Having a weather proof SLR has one advantage. Water proof. So half of the body and lens was dipped into the pool to get the above shot. Hence, the difference between this one (which shows a blurred foreground) vs the above image where you get a perfect mirror image for reflections.
We were caught in this massive jam, in all over Kuantan town. Thankfully, we managed to get out, parked the car somewhere and walk... hungry for lunch. And suddenly spotted an armoured military vehicle parked and blocking a road. Curious, we went closer and next thing we knew, these were passing us by...

Obviously, SOMEbody was excited to have his photo taken. As for the motorcyclist, he must be thinking... "hmmm, if I were to change my tyres to tracks..."
Right: You okay rookie?
Left:  I think so...

And finally, the vehicle that got our attention left to join his comrades but leave a lasting trail of it's presence behind...

And here ends this post.
