Paris - Arc De Triomphe

1st stop: Arc De Triomphe. This view is taken from ... Champs Elysees which everybody knows is a very famous street in France; and a very expensive place to be in! :)
The Arc is actually a roundabout! Traffic goes in a circle all around it. And there are no lines on the road, ones that I could see/notice that is... and so, the sounds of the motorists horn and bicycles bells ringing is heard frequently; whether to show displeasure or well... you know laaaa...
So lets step right up and say hi to the ...

To get from the road, if one got off from the Metro, the entrance to the Arc is an underground passageway that links the Arc to Champs. And I believe from the other side of the road as well. So if you are taking the Metro, just get off @ Champs and you'll see the underground entrance about 30m's away from your exit. The tickets (to go UP, yes you can!) are sold just before you exit the underground passage to go up onto the ground level of the Arc. Needless to say, a long queue exists. So Moi gave it a passed...

And this is what's UNDER the Arc...

Statues from the other side of the Arc. In short, there are actually 4.

And finally, I end with a shot from Champs Elysees (in the middle of the road) pointing at the Arc.
Next stop: Eiffel Tower!
