Cambodia # 13 - Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is huge. Massively huge with wide open spaces and intricately well done stone carvings which you will see... This picure was taken inside the massive complex. There is actually a moat and a bridge before this, which, I didn't take due to the amount of tourists milling around, even @ 1400H! Needless to say, yours was one of them!

If you thought the previous carvings was well done, you ain't seen nothing yet. The below is just a sample that adorns a wall that is about 30meters long...
A crop of the above. If you look closely, you can actually see the faint line which ends this block of stone and connects to the next stone. Truly amazing craftsmanship!

Even on the banisters(?), you can see carvings as you will get to see in the next post...
